I just bought some Yamaha service manuals from a member here and I could'nt help noticing that on the back cover is says Yamaha Motor Co. Since 1887, what were they building in 1887? motorcycles?

began by fixing u.s made reed organs then got into building piano's , harmonica's. that is why yamaha's logo is the tuning fork logo

Yamaha produced there first motorcycle engine in 1954 with a 125cc single cylinder two stroke.. I think that was there start in the engine business.
