Are either of the stock rivets in the 8DN-20's 4.5 gram? I'm reving to approx 8800 to 8900 rpm.Was this a problem on these sleds similar to my SXR 600? The tech page shows stock SRX rivets at 17.2 & 13.9 but I don't understand what this relates to(individual rivets X3?). Will loading my stock weights with the 4.5's in both holes resolve the over rev? All the primary & secondary clutch components are stock with a new 8DN belt set correctly in the sheave and c-c/offset/wrap at factory spec.Just got a foot of fresh snow this week.Should get two more weekends of ridin' in the bush! Can't beat that for April.

usually stock is 4.5 outer and 3.6 inner. Repace the 3.6 with 4.5..should help.A new belt will drop rpm's a bit to.Do you have the stock helix installed. In this mild weather I'd think you would be running with a lower rpm then.In the warm temps I switched to a 51/43 helix and was dead on 8500 rpm wot.A few weeks back got my speedo to hit 118 briefly with that setup and above 0 temps.Where about are you from???

Thanks.I'll try the 4.5 inner and see what happens.Just got this sled awhile ago and pretty much did the "buy it and ride it" routine so far but was jetted super fat(OK when it was -35) and had some other tinkering issues that I'm picking away at.RPM's shot up when I installed 2001 jetting.I'm in Winnipeg but sled the bush trails and fireguards in the Sandilands.Pretty remote where we go and just can't get enough of blasting through the turkey trails in the bush.

Smoked a tamarac last year gettin' jiggy wit it in the tight stuff but that's the only way to take the checkered flag.Tape it to the bar and leave it there!
