viper electrical short or bad stator

03 Mtn Viper hit the brakes dash goes out, headlight dims. Hit high beam switch dash goes out then comes back.runs fine seems like any power draw zaps the dash then it comes back.possible short or is the stator getting weak?

I would guess wiring.

Sounds like a bad ground somewhere

do a search on here for the "wiring rub through", affected vipers and srx's.

checked resistance pick up coil was close stator coil white wires one was close other was open no reading. is that normal?

I would check for rub through under the motor. Just like snowdad said seach for "wiring rub through"

just went through the same prob. this winter. checked harness even tryed a different harness. ended up being stator.
