Can I have damaged the spider?

I had a little malfunction with the torque wrench today and it didn't click when it was supposed to. So I might have torqued it all the way up to 140-150 ft/lbs at the initial tightening. Is that enough to cause a damage to the spider when it press fits on it?

When I discovered that I pulled the clutch off again, and fixed the torque wrench and tightened as normal. May I have damaged the spider?

ARE YOU sleeping at the switch again.I don't think you should have an issue there.One way to tell,take the sled out for a good WOT for 1 or 2 miles.If you hear something ready to explode...jump off the sled and fast.......?

I have been water skipping the 600.Doing not to bad,but then lost power..speed and then over rev.This happened 3 or 4 times.Pissed me off.Took it home and investigated.The rubber plug that covers the opening for a socket to go thru to the front shock nut was missing.Wouldn't you know it,it is just slightly above and in line with the primary.So took plug from other side and put it in that one.Will try again this week.Cool skipping on water,seeing the ski's carving the water and feels neat .

You need to silicone up the whole area where the frame meets the belly pan plastic (under the clutches), and look up at the upper corners of your heat exchangers and you will find out why you sunk.
