Hi all,
I added a 2001 Viper rear suspension to my 98 SRX 700 and it works great....except....the front end is still a little low and the rear of my track is about 1/2 inch off the ground...melting my sliders off.
I replaced the stock shock mounts (on the skis) with the long-travel ebay versions but it still sits low. What else needs to be done here???? Something about spacers???

You said the mount on the ski's? Are you talking about the actually shock mount or a different saddle for the ski?
Do a search on flipping your shock mounts on the bulkhead and also if you have Ohlins you can buy extensions for them to lift the front of your sled a little higher.

I had the same problem. I tightened up my limiter straps some and that helped level it out. I know it changes your suspension and ride a bit, but it wasn't anything I couldn't work with.

I put the hauck performance drop brackets up front plus extended my ohlins shafts and my srx sits high and balanced with the viper rear shocks
Did you also mount the Viper skis to your sled? If so, the pivot point that connects the ski to the spindle on the Viper skis sits aboug 1/2" lower than your stock skis which may explain some of the front end droop.

I actually replaced the stock shock mounts with the "Long Travel" ebay versions, instead of flipping the original mounts....I think the new ones are actually longer that flipping the stock mounts.
I was hoping not to have to tighten the limiter straps, but I will give it a try if all else fails.
I have ohlins on the front and wondered about the extensions. Has anyone had any trouble with steering or bending a shock rod while using the extensions?
I kept the original SRX skis as well.
What about adding spacers in the front suspension somewhere??? I read this once and don't know what it means exactly?

I put SLP ski's on, they seem to be thicker overall. And used the yamaha pivot, by redrilling the holes, and flipped the shock mounts.

Viper trailing arms and spindles will bring the height up too IIRC...

After my Bender reaction suspension upgrade the back of my track is off the ground about a inch also.
This thread seems to be the best to describe the work.
I wouldn't mind someone adding pics to it...

Anyone measured the hight in the front and back?
I use to measure to the underside of the bumper but I don´t have the numbers in my head right now...
