Hi,

I'm thinking of fine tune my clutching on my MM 700...

SPECS:

1500-3000 feet over sea
Bender pipes
150 MJ
50 PJ
19/39
151"
About 80lbs lighter.

I mostly ride off-trail / boondocking and do some hillclimbing.

Now for tuning. This is my prim and sec clutch. Have no idea were to start so please give me some hints. Thanks

Heavy hitters 48g base weight.
Tip - ?
Mid - ?
Bottom - ?
Spring - ?

Heelclicker HC-X with 50' straight helix.
Have 3 diffrent choice of spring.
1 green
1 yellow
1 red

Thanks Rasmus

tune with the primary.....get your rpms right then fine tune with the secondary. add weight till it wont pull the r's then take a touch off.... im not sure on exact weights but i would start at about 54g if and see what happens.

What's the Peak HP RPM with the Benders?

84-8600 rpm. I personally owned 3 bender piped 700,s.
They will still make good power up to 8800 but it falls off after 8600.

Got it fired up today...

Uses stock spring up front, but it engages at 2900 RPM..
A bit to low for my taste. Could I do anything with the weights to bring the engagement up a bit or is my only option to buy a new spring?

Also read that you should leave the bottom empty if you run a roller sec. which I do!

u can shim the primary spring to raise the engagement a little depending on how much you want to change.

I want it to engage at ~4200rpm. So a new spring is my only option I think!
What spring to use.?

Not trying to sound out of line, but the TY technical pages are full of tuning specs that are tried and proven in differant app's. I just read 1 of Turks in the engine area, then to a post of jetting and clutching about 3/4 of the way down the page. It nails your starting set-up you are looking for. There is alot of info in those areas. I've used them several times. That sled will work very well when you get it tuned for you.
Good luck and have fun
