Viper windshield...any ideas

I need a windshield for my 2004 sx viper but i cant seem to find one. The sled is red and black but the only windshields i cant find are blue blue and more blue and one clear. I am looking for a chrome one or a black one. Clear is fine but it doesn't look as good

Pen, I have a Black one for sale 35.00 plus shipping. It was only on the sled for maybe 100 miles or so. It is in great condition.

Sportech stoped making the chrome windshields because under certain conditions, low bright winter sun, the reflected light would melt gauge pods and dash panels. I kid you not. Their insurance company took very good care of me on this two years ago.
They also sent me a red replacement windy, translucent, not chrome. 2datrl

I'm assuming you've checked ebay and your local dealer. You might want to try some salvage yards. There's Bent Toys and Salvage Parts in the North Bay (ON) area.

i did find a chrome on eBay but that guy scared me of chrome ones lol i think i found one though a guy offered me a black one that was on his sled for about a year for 35 bucks so nothing wrong with that

I should mention that it was Sportechs insurance company that took care of me. It is a shame, as the chrome looked good. Black looks very nice as well.

just get a clear one and paint it the color you want.

If you get a chrome one, just spray paint the back of it black, then theres no reflection so your gauge will then not melt, lol, there's a thread on this last week I believe, and thats what a couple people did,and never had a problem after.

Do a search for Shade Tree Powersports, They use to sell black ones.
