a crisp wintery morning, after the first cup of coffee, you crunch your way out to the sled, pick up the rear end and slam it down to free up the track. Choke all the way up, kill switch up, and the first pull feels like it is a complete waste of time, the second, a bit better, then after 4 or five pulls, a sputter, then she fires on all three, a sweet sound, kind of frightening really. In a cloud of sweet smelling castor, you tickle the throttle, push down the choke to half, tickle again, then off comes the choke, and she idles. Jump on the rock hard seat, hit the throttle as gently as you can to free her up, the clutch engages, and your off. The familiar wiggle of the front end, you sit up, the bump in the cowl reminds you that this is no ordinary machine.. you tickle her ever so gently, fifteen minutes, then, on the the lake, we always look for the lake, then, wham, and you forget how fast, how powerful, a man made machine can be. Surely this machine pulls like a formula 1, you glance down at the speedo as best as you can, closing in on 180, and you know that if you hold her longer, anythings possible. Then you baby her on the ride back, so you get home safe and sound..... Another day on an srx........ nothing like it........

Same here! Must get this post back up early next season. What a great read.
That was a really cool post it hits right to my heart and how my SRX makes me feel when I fire it up.
Hmmm I wonder if I still have enough gas in the tank to fire her up one more time.No I haven't summerized it yet been busy doing other things

Nice story, how about an illustration picture?
You will need to rephrase it to "closing in on 190" though.

Electric Start? Where's the fun in that? Pulling an SRX over on a crisp cold morning is the start to a great day! Just hearing that distinctive sound of those 3 cylinders firing gives me the willies... in a good way. Just love it when you cruise down the lake and just give her a little squeeze now and then and its always right there.. not even a second of pause just full on power. My SX and viper always were great, but nothing sounds so sweet like those SRX's. I'm glad my dad still has his.
