Looking for a little help.
I am riding a 98 SRX - and having a blast
Its tweaked a little, but getting up there in miles
I am looking to get a newer sled - and I'm seeking a 03 or 04 Viper
Drawback is I never road one - and It's not the best weather to test drive one
Has anyone made the switch - thoughts: Love it - hate it ..wish you could go back?
I'm sure this has been covered - I did search but found nothing illustrating differences.
Any info is great.

comparing stock to stock. the viper is slower. other than that, the viper is just as good or better than the SRX in every other way.
if you don't mind going a little slower on the lake, then you won't regret it.

SRX / Viper
The Viper is a great trail sled! You won't have any disappointments. My wife has ridden her Viper for the last 5 years, and loves it.

I have both a 98 SRX and an 02 viper. And hands down the viper is a better sled other than the speed difference I find the viper to handle alot better in trails and powder. Although the SRX rails nice in the trails I rather the performance of the viper.

Thanks for some input -
This reinforces my thoughts of the Vipers newer chassis for better handling / at a loss for the SRX speed and the gorgeous bump in the hood.

put some triple pipes on the viper and you'll have the best of both worlds. Speed, handling + an awesome sounding sled!

I agree with Racerdan I have an SRX and an 02 viper. The viper is much more of a well mannered sled in the trails and in the powder. A well setup Piped Viper will be the best of both worlds. It takes time to get the viper right but once it is dialed in it is the better sled IMO.
