have you checked your reed valves? you might have broken petals.

reed valves looked good but they have gaps that are stuck off about a mm. ill try switching them over and see if i have the same problem.

1mm = .040", which is way to much. .020"-.025" should be the limit.

yeah i checked the reeds and i swaped them with the boyesen reed pedals. sounds better then before but now theres an annoying ringing sound when i revs the motor up. sounds like a spring or something but its real annoying and i hate it lol. anyone ever hear that sound from their viper before?

ring like when you pull the recoil after the engine is running, or like a loose exhaust spring?

The ringing isn't the primary clutch is it?

mine does a little rattle/ring @ idle to like 4500 and i tracked it down to a stupid exhaust spring.
maybe try a little silicone on the springs?

yeah i found out that it was my starter making the ringing noise. but my machine still has that terrible sputter. its perfect when im over 6500-8500 rpm but when its around 5000-6500 rpm it has a terrible sputter. i hate playing with the throttle to get the sputter away for about 2 seconds. anyone know whats going on and what i can check? carbs are clean, fuel pump is clean, reed valves are good, powervalves are not sticky and are adjusted to 2.5mm. i do find the sled is a bit harder on gas then before but cant find the problem. any ideas what could be wrong?

just checked the compression, 130 mag 130 center 115 pto. plugs are back with little brown inside
Is your float bowl height within spec.. Or the plastic washer around the main jet not pulled down to the proper position..

i have broke my tps sensor but i fixed it with superglue and a soitering gun. worked fine and the way its acting now was before the sensor was broken. anyone think it maybe my spark plug cap?
Could be a spark plug cap for sure. Did you check the wiring harness by the drive shaft?
