hello i need new pistons for a 780 srx does anyone have part # for wiesco pistons and what sled they came from they are 72.90mm? thanks
From what I've been told, Wiseco is not making the 72.90 piston anymore. They are only doing a 73mm. They use the same rings, but the pistons are different.

They are still making them. But they only make a limited amount, and not all the time. Usually, they are in a steady state of backorder.

i'll check tonight, but i'm 99.9% sure they are the 72.9mm ones.

yep, they are 72.9mm, w/TBC coating on the domes and PC9 coating on the skirts. BRAND NEW. come w/rings, circlips, and wristpin.

I'm surprised Wiseco does not have these pistons in stock. I have purchased 6-8 of these pistons and have never paid more than 93.00 each with rings. This must be P. Hauck's as the only one I know of to coat these pistons. Mopar contact me if this guy does not take them. I dont know about the rest of you guys but the coating is always gone when I'm done with them. ---mac---

swain tech did the coating for my buddy. srxdude, you have mail....sent you a pm. mac, you're 3rd in line for the pistons, as srxdude is the 1st.

The new 73mm pistons measure IDENTICAL on the micrometer to the 72.9mm pistons. They are the same weight and take the same rings. All Wiseco did was jack up the price to a retail price of $130 or so dollars now. I can get the new pistons if anyone needs them.
