How do you lower the front of a tss sled w/o using chains. I am turing a phazer into a drag sled and don't want the look of chains hanging off the front.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i have done this a couple different ways. inside the can is a collar that sits on the shock tupe that the spring sits on. find some rigid tubing and add a piece about 2" long. this will compress the spring and lower the front. you may have to play with the length to achieve the desired height. or, there is a wooden spacer in there somewhere(been a while, i think it was wood), you can cut this in about half and the front will sit lower. tear down a strut and it should make sense. do one at a time so you have a reference to how they are assembled.

how to lower TSS
on my oval racing vmax540 all I did was to cut the lower spring seat then add 2" to it and weld back together. By making the seat longer/taller, you allow the spring to sit lower on the mounting. By doing it this way, you lower the front but do not add any preload to the spring by compressing it
