i recently recieved a 2000 srx 700. i was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to clutch it. it has vforce reeds, mega power heads, and has been ported by mark giametti.

GIAMETTI STUFF REALLY HONKED WELL. I HAVE A SET OF HIS CLYS ON MY 2000 SRX WITH SOME REVISED PORTING. LIKE MOPAR SAID, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THIS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

yes they are stock pipes. it will be used mostly for riding off trail and some drags once in a while. im totally new to yamaha and so far this site is the best info i have found. thanks

Clutch It To 8400 Hundred Down Low Up To 8600 In The Mid And Since It's Ported On Ice It Will Probaly Creep Its Way To 8700/8800 On The Big End , And Thats Ok For Big #

Try This It Should Be Close ,you Can Fine Tune For Your Weight Etc....

madzx2, you don't happen to know what rpm (rpm of peak hp), that this thing is now ported for? 8400-8500?

when you say off trail riding, you mean like boondocking in the powder?
