i recently recieved a 2000 srx 700. i was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to clutch it. it has vforce reeds, mega power heads, and has been ported by mark giametti.

GIAMETTI STUFF REALLY HONKED WELL. I HAVE A SET OF HIS CLYS ON MY 2000 SRX WITH SOME REVISED PORTING. LIKE MOPAR SAID, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THIS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

yes they are stock pipes. it will be used mostly for riding off trail and some drags once in a while. im totally new to yamaha and so far this site is the best info i have found. thanks

Clutch It To 8400 Hundred Down Low Up To 8600 In The Mid And Since It's Ported On Ice It Will Probaly Creep Its Way To 8700/8800 On The Big End , And Thats Ok For Big #

madzx2, you don't happen to know what rpm (rpm of peak hp), that this thing is now ported for? 8400-8500?
when you say off trail riding, you mean like boondocking in the powder?

yea i do alot of boondocking of trail. i dont know what what the rpm is now. i got the sled from a member on this forum. his screen name was daliyama ithink thats how its spelt.
