Hey..thanks a lot guys. crewchief47..>Water is going down now,but still around the yard.Bluewho..I feel old to,been working to many long hours lately and I feel it.daman and nosboy..thanks again.

thanx sleddineinar.Talked to mom last night. She has been trapped in her house for 3 weeks already. The road has been washed away that takes people out of the area.No one can get thru with there vehicles yet,to dangerous. She is having someone walk on thru to bring her groceries today. This water is staying way to long. There is a guy down the road from her that owns a million dollar mansion. He said he is going to sell his place. He said to her that it took 400 hours to erect the flood wall around his place and he is already sick of it.

we have been getting swamped here to with lots of rain just under 4" in the last 2 weeks here,it's wet,,no more!!!!

mr stein!!!!! clean up isn't so bad here.I made sure most of the big debris is thrown into the water and floats away before it gets to low.The muddy slim in my back garage that is on the concrete floor will need to be power washed for sure. There is still about 2 inches of flood water over it.Got my flood wall put away for another future event. Just waiting for the mosquitoes next.Looks like the municipality has gravel trucks dumping gravel on the washed out road that connects Red River Drive(where my mom lives).Wish it were a little warmer. There was ice pellets going on in the early afternoon today and they are calling for snow flurries tonight into tomorrow morning..yeah!!! Once it dries up good in the back yard,I can start up my sleds, wash them and drive them back into the back garage.

I can handle any nasty that wed wiver dishes out.I think the River has raised some 35 feet higher then the normal level...that is some nasty..but bring on the real nasty..40 feet above..that should finish everyone off.

Here are some pics from around April 22 and the last 3 were from tonight.

My flood wall was put up just incase. If you look at my back shed again were the water only went..it was about 2 feet above the floor. In the 1997 flood the water would have been to the top of the big overhead door.Just to give you an idea what we went thru that year. That would place the water have way up my basement windows.I am now protected to about 2 feet above the main floor. If water ever reached that height..that shed in the back yard would not be visable at all. :o|

Hey Blue... You could always move to CHICAGO where they have COMPETENT SEWER SYSTEMS... never mind the GHETTOS though.....

A funny story.. My friend and I bought a 16 foot boat and wanted to try it out on lake MICHIGAN.. Well,, we launched it by Mc Cormick place and went about 1000 feet and the LOCAL POLICE was ALL OVER US looking up our behinds with a microscope.. I asked if it was against the law to drive a boat in the lake and they told me that I couldn't drive it "around here" WELL EXCUSE ME, I THOUGHT IT WAS A LAKE" I said, and they proceeded to SLAP ME around for a few minutes and ADJUSTED my ATTITUDE!!! Needless to say,,, Boats and waverunners aren't permitted around here!!! WHat a F**KED UP CITY!!!

I sold the boat the next summer.... I figured the J**OFFS couldn't catch me on a snowmobile!! I WAS RIGHT!!!
