first time rebuilding an engine and the bottom half of my cylinders I can't seem to pull up. I used a rubber knockometer to hit the side to see if it loosens and I can still wiggle it less than 1/16". Is their a trick to pulling them up?
I can't get to my pistons without taking this off. anybody got any ideas because I just don't want to ruin anything.
thanks in advance for the help.

At times pulling the cylinders off can be a little bit of a pain. On older sleds sometimes a little corrosion builds up around the bolts. Most of the time the cylinder just binds on the studs. Patients, slow tapping until it breaks free from the gasket & studs. If it gets to be too much, take a break, have a beer, start again.

Ditto...
Some patience, wiggling, and pulling up on them and they will eventually break free. My bolts were all corroded and it took me 15-20 minutes per cylinder to wiggle them off. Ended up standing on the frame of the sled and pulling straight up with all my might to get one off.
