I've got two '98 VMax's, and the rubber on the foot rest on both of them has come unglued about half way back on both of them. Anybody had any luck getting these glued back down successfully? What did you use?

Thanks!
Mike

a good quality Silicone should work for ya.Smear the stuff throughout, press rubber down.Place a plank over it with about 50 lbs of weight and let dry 24 hours.Should do it and water won't effect it either.

Go down to the local bodyshop and get some windshield urathane. It holds stronger and longer than silicone(sorry blue) Most shops have partial tubes laying around

I have used very thin double sided tape on the entire rubber surface. I have used this tape before without a problem. I installed this tape on my wife's
2000 SXr & it is still holding for the past 8 years.
