For killing off Pontiac. Makes this 1 of 1828.
Under rated LS3 415hp/415tq, 6600rpm redline, TremecTR 6060 sixspeed Manual, big Brembo brakes, 3.70 gear. 13.00+- quartermile at 110-112mph, 50/50 weight ballance, factory subs and amp in the trunk. Let the clutch out at anything above 2000 rpms and it vaporizes the tires. Load up 4 or 5 people (plenty of room) and head out. Here hemi, hemi, hemi.

they do real good on gas for having over 400 hp,I have a 06 Pontiac GTO with the ls2 400 hp motor and 6 speed manual trans.,and it got around 22-24 mpg when it was stock, but after I did SLP long tube headers,SLP cat back exhaust,K&N cold air kit, and put a SLP Bob Cat 455 tune in it,now it gets 25-27 mpg driving it easy, but thats hard to do. It breaths better with the mods I put on it,and the 455 tune helped alot.norwegian said:I wonder what kind of mileage that thing gets?

I bet the resale will be good on challengers and cameros, those will have some very low numbers.
did they ever make the solaris coup into a production car, that will be a low number car anyway, not to mention never to be made again.

Very nice, I'm gonna do a cold air kit and tune and call it good. Stock exhaust actually sounds and flows pretty good. The tuner shops are getting 370-380rwhp stock and a touch over 400 with a cai and tune.Yamaouch08 said:they do real good on gas for having over 400 hp,I have a 06 Pontiac GTO with the ls2 400 hp motor and 6 speen manual trans.,and it got around 22-24 mpg when it was stock, but after I did SLP long tube headers,SLP cat back exhaust,K&N cold air kit, and put a SLP Bob Cat 421 tune in it,now it gets 25-27 mpg driving it easy, but thats hard to do. The tune will help the most with the CAI. GM tunes them conservative. I drove a 09 G8 GXP myself, and I most say I liked it.cacsrx1 said:Very nice, I'm gonna do a cold air kit and tune and call it good. Stock exhaust actually sounds and flows pretty good. HOLY FRIGGIN' SCAPEGOAT guys, Obama had NOTHING to do with GM's failures as a company. They did that all on their own, so did Chrysler. GM got rid of olds, now pontiac. Not shocking since hummer is soon to follow as well as Saturn. The sale of Saab will happen too. had GM invested in hybrid cars instead of making hummers (which actually was the choice GM made) they would not be in suck muck as they are now. The unions are killing the American car. Maybe when the unions go, GM and all the other US car companies will do better and resurrect some brands that should be back.
I am shocked that GM decided to drop Pontiac, and keep buick instead. I know years ago when GM dropped olds, that most expected Buick to follow shortly. Maybe since people are living longer, the rise in the octogenarian population has them buying more buicks. Either that or Buicks ex marketing plan with Tiger woods worked and more folks bought buicks.
I gotta say I did like the g8, a 5 series fighter priced well.
