i got a problem with my 04 viper mountain. when i press the brakes or switch from hi and low beam the dash goes out then starts over again and the headlights go dull. i pulled the motor and no sign of a wore through in the wiring harness. then taped all the wires up and put the motor back in. i also unpluged the tail light but i still has the same problem but it dont occur now when i press the brakes. it only happens when i change from hi and low beam. the headlights will go dull and get bight again and the dash goes out and starts over again. i am wondering what could be causing this short out? im thinking 3 things. my Stator looks a bit rusty when i pulled it earlier this winter due to crank failure. my least opinions on what could be causing it would be the regulator and the CDI. i got my guess on the stator but i need to know what you guys mite think it is. let me know thanks
more then likely the stator i had the same problem this year put new stator and no issue since
