Ok guys when I installed my Hauck pipe, I had to remove the battery, and now I need to relocate it, but Im not sure where to put it. And do the lights and gauges need the battery to work properly? Because now according to the gauges I'm engaging at 2000 rpm, and the lights are not bright at all, but once in a while everything will go back to normal for a couple seconds, and will engage at 3800 rpm and the lights are bright, this is confusing??? I think all this ahs to do with the battery not being hooked up, so my biggest problem is where to put the battery?

a battery (electric start kit) is optional on that sled so it can be removed without any problems.

Sounds like you have a weak stator. The battery was providing most of the power to drive your accessories. Now that your running off of the motor, the stator is juicing it up enough. You could try putting in a stiffening capacitor instead of a battery. It will save weight, but it wont replace a battery, so pull start it is.

Is the positive battery cable shorting out on the frame? I removed the battery from my 500 xt and the positive cable came loose from where i had it stored and it made the lights flicker and do all sorts of weird things. I finally saw that the cable was shorting out and causing this. Just check and make sure your cables are not touching anything.
