REAction suspension BEnder Racing

I've seen posts on here where guys had quite a racket getting their suspension brackets from Bender, they've had to wait far too long to get the parts if they got them at all.A good alternative would be the Apex skid, pretty much the same thing as the Bender deal but you'll need the inner support plates to go with it.Most any other brand skid had been morphed into the Yamaha chassis just do some searches and you should find what info you need .

Your best bet would to be fit a MONO shock suspension into it..

I know there are several guys on here that have done it.. Cheap and the mono rides a million times better than the vipers skid

The instructions in the tech pages are real easy to follow, and it does ride a lot better. If you decide on the Mono skid PM me and I'll let you know what not to do and what extra parts you need to order.

i found an '04 RX Warrior limited edition skid for sale 4900 miles for 275 in the clasified what do you guys think would that be a good upgrade or do i want a newer suspension then '04?? :2strokes:

I owned two 2004 Rx-warriors. they are better than the viper skids ever were, but they are no were near a M-10 or mono shock skid..

the price is right, but if you want an excellent ride, get a mono skid with tiped up rails from ulmer racing..

You should be able to find an 06 Mono skid for around $500. I paid $550 for mine last year with all new wheels and bushings. This time of year you should be able to find a good deal.

2006 mono setup

I purchased a 2006 GT mono for $400 last week. Have not looked at the install yet. I received the skid only no controls. How are you setting up the Ohlin's shock compression? I'm 180 pounds.

Mine has the regular shock with the dial adjuster not the ohlins. I also stretched mine to a 136, so I sent the shock with a big boy spring to Pioneer perf. and had them revalve it. I read soo many threads on the 4 stroke side that I got a headache. Couple things I learned: get the Ulmer anti rub kit for the shock, and get the 07 or newer (softer) bushings for the transfer rod.

welter wanna get me the link to the website? anyone else know or have a newer one for sale let me know

You would have to buy the skid from a used sled..

The tipped up rails you can get from Ulmer racing ULMERRACING.COM

I was also going to say you could get a polaris edge X rear suspenion, IMO one of the best riding suspensions ive ever riden.. 2002 was a good year on those sleds

buying the 2008 IQr 440 skid walker evans all around..... will i need to know anything other then how to install? will i lose speed im looking for a better ride but do not want to gain any weight or lose speed will this work? HELP !!! :dunno:

thats a pretty aggressive suspension for a viper, and im sure you would loose top speed with it..

i would keep it simple and use something that someone has already installed in a viper, IE mono,expert,m-10,edge etc..

hows the tear down going?

almost done..... but the guy already has this on a 2003 viper.... ?? any more ideas

If the guy already has it on a viper, than the swap over should be easy, just measure his mounting points and mount it in the same locations..

do you think this will be a better riding suspension then the proaction the guy who had it on the viper liked it but he did some ditchbanging..... he also did trails though
