I can't believe how dead this site gets in the summer months. Even though I only ride and race sleds during the winter months, snowmobiling for me is 365 days a year. I don't think there is a day that goes by without thinking of new ways to design or modify something on the sleds for the upcoming season. Winter is right around the corner!

Everyone's out trying to find jobs. Trying to be funny, but the sad thing is that it's a real possibility.

I think winter does want to leave. 2 hours North of me they got snow last night.
High of 9c today and a low of 1c tonight.Tooo darn cold for June. We are nowhere close to normal temps.
The site is quiet now. No one's sleds are breaking down sitting under covers in the back staorage garage. We spend most of our evenings chasing our kids between soccer and baseball and on the weekends I try to keep up on yard work. Not much time to tinker on the sleds. But enough time to share a few jokes.

ryan:
it's the state of the economy.
it seems to me that in the past 3 years off season forum use on all sled sites has decreased. this year being the worst and with the price of gas starting to again increase, it probably won't get better soon.

You could be right, Bob. If gas becomes $2 a litre, I'll still ride.....maybe not as much though. Then again, I don't put on all that many trail miles anymore. The VP C14 went up to $110 Canadian per 18.9 litre, which only lasts about a day and a half at the races.

that's $22 per US gallon and if you don't use it all in one day the rest gets dumped in the truck!! now add to that the high cost of a new sled, insurance, & registration & you can start to see why interest in the sport has declined. however, there is an upside to this. less traffic on the trails for us that are left.

Ya, but at the end of the day we receive a $5 plaque or trophy. Balances it out, doesn't it?
