I HAVE A 94 YAMAHA VMAX 600 BORED OUT TO A 700 PORTED AND PIPED I HAVE 38MM MIKUNI CARBS WE RUN THIS IN THE SUMMER IN A MINNI ROD WE GROUND THE WEIGHTS TO GET A LITTLE MORE RPM AND NOW WHEN WE GET UP AROUND 8000-8400 RPM IT HAS A MISS ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE A REV LIMITER WHEN WE BACK THE RPMS DOWN TO 76-7800 RPM IT RUNS GREAT. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIER ARE REVLIMITERS IN THES IF SO CAN THEY BE REMOVED.

i dont think there is a rev limiter ..they run them rpms in the sled ....sounds like a clutching issue ...i would say thors but you probaly have bypassed it and removed it ...
If there is a rev limiter it will be programmed into the cdi so the only way to get around it would be to reflash that. Probably not going to find a race box for one of those anymore if anyone even made one.
Good luck.
Good luck.
