Here are some pictures of the nest outside our bedroom window where a robin built it's nest. There was four eggs in it and today we seen that three have hatched. Pictures not the best but if you look you can see the chicks heads.

Agreed, nice accommodations. I don't see an A/C unit so that must be why they built on the porch. Then again they don't seem to give much thought about where to build.
Might want to check under that Pondarosa on a pole that nothing of value is at risk of getting pooped on.
I've had to raid a few thankfully before they started dropping eggs (and before the old lady saw it).
B-B-Q grill, atop of electric meter, tongue of trailer, bilge vent on the boat, the grill of a '74 Econoline (customer's van). Just some I can think of off the top of my head. Dumb birds/cool house.

the mother robin is such a wimp.I was watering the trees and sprayed a mist across the tree and she flew away chirping FU to me probably.I counted at least 3 eggs. She came back again.Wander what she will do when it rains hard tonight with big winds.

You are a meany, spraying the poor little Robin...lol... How you doing Doug? I was in Niverville last night for the fair and car meet. Girlfriend does face painting there for the kids every year. Was pretty good, good food and the fireworks were quite good for a small town...
