Long story short. Bought new sled, 2004 viper. Has simmons cpr pipes, heavy hitter clutch kit and v force 3 reeds. I've never had a sled with mods and wanted to make sure i wasnt going to melt down. Question posed to me was jetting, and if heads were machined. I'm starting with jetting, here is what i have.
Carb one (clutch side): Main jet 160, Pilot jet 45, clip 4th ring down both washers on top.
Carb 2 (middle) : Main jet 160, pilot jet 47.5, clip 4th ring down both washers on top.
Carb 3 (exhaust side) : Main jet 162.5, pilot jet 50, clip 4th ring down both washers on bottom.
Dont know plug wash as machine was serviced by dealer (have reciept) before selling. New plugs, belt, greased, ect.... Machine is in like new condition. New to the mod game and want to make sure it is s/u right. Thanks for any help guys!

I believe the mains and clip position sound correct keeping in mind the mag side of the motor needs extra fuel. I'm fairly certain the pilot jets should use 47.5 in the PTO and center and 50 on the mag side. I have never heard of anyone using three different pilot jets. I can't imagine why they wanted less fuel on the PTO. Plug wash is not something you can analyze without be able to make long pulls under full power with winter temperatures. Still check those heads out. If its a stock head you are not finished. When the engine bogs its usually one of two things. To much fuel - or not enough fuel. I would guess to much fuel as the motor runs rich with summer temperatures. Fuel screws settings are important. Where are they set?

will check fuel screws ( i'm guessing another name for them would be pilot mixture screw as in the service manual ?). What should they be at?. Let you know as soon as i find out.

If were talking about the same screws, ( the ones under the carb besides the float bowl cover) they are all about 1 3/4 turns out. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks chris.
