Hey guys,
I'm putting my viper er together. I've had every nut and bolt off. My secondary clutch has about 3/16-1/4 inch of play on the jack shaft. I can't figure it out. Please help

Ok good I dont remember any slack before.. so i shouldn't worry.
Thank you !!!!
Thank you !!!!
Totally 100% normal & it is wrong if it does not move. That is so the secondary can float & align itself.
This refers to rotational play - Models with reverse have a good bit of rotational play.
This refers to lateral play (the clutch moves sideways on the shaft).05mtnvipermod said:its slack in the chaincase. no cause for alarm, its supposed to be that way
Excellent advice on both of them, just thought I might point out these are 2 different things.Turk said:Totally 100% normal & it is wrong if it does not move. That is so the secondary can float & align itself.
