My stock (non re-buildable) rear shocks are worn out on my 1997 Yamaha Vmax 600 XT (2300 miles). Looking to purchase a used/new set of re-buildable rear shocks that simply bolt on. Anybody have a set for sale or suggestions?

Diehler,
I just did the same thing. Blew both rear shocks and the track last year in the UP. Went with 03 Viper take offs. Thing is the bushings are different in the Non rebuildable shocks. The correct plastic bushings were around $ 15.00 from the dealer and the job was done. I do have a new non-rebuildable I will sell for $ 50.00. It is the large rear shock. Let me know. Pat

SpartaSRx,
If you don't mind, what did it cost you for the 03 Viper knock off set up, what brand and where did you purchase it from?
Also, who is the manufacturer for the rear shock you are selling and does it contain the spring? I may be interested in it, but I really need both shocks for the rear and I would like the same brand.
Thanks,
Diehler

I got the Viper shocks from a guy in New York. $ 300.00 is what I payed for all four but that was last year. The shock I have is a brand new stock Yamaha with the spring and adjuster. Rich may have a front shock for you, contact Rich Motorsports on the main page. I weigh over 300 lbs with my gear on so the Viper shock will be working for me. If you dont weigh much, the Viper shocks may be a little strong for you. Good luck. Pat
