I know this probably has been discussed on here, but how would a well tuned stock srx stack-up against a stock apex?

I had an 07 APEX and ran it against my nehibor with a 01 srx mods clutch and reeds. My apex was an ER with 192 pics. I had no problems with him. We were close off the line but at 50-60mph i would never see him again. Now take this with a grain of salt because his sled had 8000 miles of rough rids on it. But i didnt feel too bad about it because i weigh at least 60lbs more than him not includeing the weight of the sled.
Not so sure about SRX's, but Apex seem to beat up on even heavily modded Vipers... 
I'm sure a clutching specialist like Turk could engineer one of the 700 triples to beat up on the Apex's, but I think the broad powerband of that 997 or so cc 4 stroke just has too much torque across the whole powerband.
Now I'm not a racer so take it for what it's worth, but I've even seen stock Apex's beat Vipers that should have carried 155 - 160 hp. (And I'm not talking about my Mnt Viper, which is geared low for hills and I don't race it ever.)
Off the line it's always close, or the 2 stroke Viper might have a length or so, but then the Apex just blows by and runs away from it. I imagine same with SRX.
But sometimes that 2 stroke rev and sound is just addicting!

A properly clutched 00-02 SRX will beat a stock apex everywhere with equal traction & rider weight.

Thanks Turk! I was hoping you would chime in on this one. I want to pick up a stock srx and see if I can't go out and beat up on some 4-strokes. No punt intended because I own one,(4-stroke that is). But love that 2-stroke power still. 
I knew Turk could come through!!!!!!!!!!!
