Just as the title says...... My 2003 Mnt. Viper may be getting a newer track. It has the stock 144" X 2" tall lug Camo Challenger. Is their any options for 2 1/8 or 2 1/4" track? Will a taller track fit?
Thx,
Mike

You will have to take out tunnel protectors and change to 8 tooth drivers, 2 1/4 is the largest I have seen on one, Doesnt mean you cant fit more though You would have to measure and see where the clearance is at.

It should already have 8 tooth drivers on it. Tallest track I have seen on a stock mountain viper was 2 1/4 but the front heat exchanger did have a lot of black rub marks and bent fins. There was maybe 1/16 of an inch between the heat exchanger and the tallest lug on the track. (Should also mention it was a finger track) I would stick with 2" to allow plenty of room for the snow to flow.
Thanks everybody --- it looks like a new 2" Challenger then!!!

I would put Aanti Ratchet drivers on while it is apart. Looser track equals more HP to snow and less Hy-Fax wear.

Good advice from AK, might as well get some FREE HP to the ground.

EVERY sled should have anti-ratchets on it. Imo its one of the most overlooked performance gains.

Do you need fully clipped if you run anti-ratchets?
no, just every window has to be open.
You can drop and roll if you want to go taller.
Ding- do you know anyone still making the templates and chaincase kits for the drop and roll?Ding said:You can drop and roll if you want to go taller.
It has been a year or 2 but I was considering doing it to a Viper Mtn. There were a few responses on Snowest.com from guys that either had parts already or had the templates to make them. I would search there first. If you don't find anything, PM me and I will look for my old messages about this and get you some names.
