How far of an advance timing key can you put in a srx 700 for grass racing in 500 foot? On a pretty much stock sled gearing and jetting and clutching? I see Hauck has 2 3 & 4 degree keys.

Dont need no more bottom, rips my arms off now-lol,definatly dont want to loose any top-want more-Thanks-Harvey

hey guys, i want to run a 4 degree advance on my mountainmax 660 feet drag only with 100 octane race fuel should this be ok? bender says it is, if so how do i install the keyway, it's on top of rotation now which way do i put the grooved part???
ASAP please

for 500 ft you give it all the timing it can take, if it rips your arms off now thats not good enough for a grass drag, set it up so it pitchs you off and you can't hold on find someone who can LOL. I'd go 4 degrees. You need everything you can get in the first half of the track, catch up is a hard game to play in that distance.

When you install the key rotate the key to the top, install the key with the step on the left side of the key, install the flywheel and rotate it clockwise against the key, you should have a gap in the slot in the flywheel on the right hand side of the flywheel slot.

anybody play with cdi boxs that advance the timing?..... 4* till 7500 and 2* thereafter.....seems to be pretty slick....

Not sure if this is true...But I was told that you can advance the timing at the TPS. Not sure if you can get all that much but I was told you can

u have to be careful when changing the timeing because of the octane you will use and the ignition point of the spark and fuel
