i know the y-pipe on the sx is different compared to a exII what about the pipe ? im looking at a sx w/after market pipe if to loud for my riding area
can i use a pipe from a ex.II
 

TELL YA BLUE JUST MAKE SHURE YOU STAY WITH THE SX ''Y'' PIPE, YOU WILL BE FINE. I HAVE ALL DYNO TESTS AND THERE WAS NO POWER LOSS WITH THE EXCITER 2 PIPE. KEY IS THAT ''Y'' PIPE. IF YA SELL THE PIPE ON THAT SX BECAUSE ITS LOUD , DROP ME A PM. WHO,s PIPE IS IT. ? 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
thanks tony i knew the y-pipe is not the same just wondering about the pipe itself i dont know whose pipe it is yet i will find out wed. morn. let you know also have you had a chance to try your cluthing yet hope it as good as yours that i have in my v-max4
 
MATTER OF FACT, THAT '' Y '' PIPE WORKED SO GOOD, THAT ALL THE AFTERMARKET SPEED SHOPS USED THE STOCK SX '' Y '' WITH THEIR PIPE. IT MADE MOST POWER AND DID WORK ON THE STOCK EXCITER 2 PIPE. NOW ON PAPER I HAVE A GREAT EXCITER SX CLUTCH KIT. ONCE AGAIN GETTING THE SECONDARY CAM MIGHT BE TUFF. IF YA GET YOURS, I,LL PASS ALONG TO YA WHAT I DID. I HAVE NOT TESTED IT YET THOUGH BECAUSE I BOUGHT MY SX IN MAY. SO STAY TUNED. AND YES I WOULD POSSIBLEY TAKE THAT SX PIPE FROM YA. LET ME KNOW. THANKS BLUE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Not to hijack the thread, but I just picked up an SX with a bender pipe. What is a good starting point for clutching?

i had one for 15 years you can use a exciter 2 y pipe with a exciter 2 pipe it makes 6 ft lbs of torque same hp but has to only turn 7500 the down side it runs closer to meltdown at the top i ended up using sx y pipe bender pipe 24000 kilos one set of pistons.dynotech research has a complete set of dyno shhets on every pipe set up and all hp and torque numbers foe the sx exciter
 
I JUST MADE A CLUTCH SET-UP FOR MY EXCITER SX. TWO PROBLEMS, I HAVE NOT FIELD TESTED YET AND ITS GONNA BE VERY HARD FINDING CAMS FOR THAT SLED. I WILL SHARE FOR ALL ONCE DONE TESTING. I WILL ADD WITH BENDER PIPE AND STOCK. 3:16 (yammie tony)
