would a 2007 IQ 144 skid fit in a 2004 viper? Or has anyone ever installed one in there viper?

Do a search there is guy that did an IQ on a viper, it was a 121 but you can get and idea........I think is RTSXV

I dropped a 2007 121" IQR snocross skid in my viper last fall and I have an entire step by step thread on how to do it. It's in the work log section. The sled is in my signature pic.

You can put almost any skid in any sled if you have the right measurements and follow the right process. It's not complicated or hard, just takes some precision and attention to details.

What sled is that 144" skid out of? I actually just bought one myself, a 144" skid out of a 2007 IQ Switchback. Has the reservoir Fox Zero Pro Shocks...I'm going to stick it in my project Apex this fall. We probably have a similar skid?

The skid rocked in the bumps. Being a snocross skid, built for jumping, it's valved pretty stiff and it can absorb any hit. The weight transfer was amazing compared to the proaction - I ride almost exclusively rough ditches and off trail so I had it set up for max transfer which made it a blast to ride. I could lean back, hit the throttle, and pull the skis up like I was on a 4 wheeler. Also, when you're flying through a ditch and your skis are barely touching the snow, it makes the front suspension seem a lot smoother ;)! Of course, set up this way it cornered like crap. These skids will corner for you though, it's all a matter of setup. Not having set one up for cornering, I can't give you a ride report. If you go over on the 4 stroke side, in the aftermarket suspension forum, there should be quite a bit of information.

rtysxv. There was a skid over on snowest I think it was a 08 or 07 144 IQ. It sold before I could get some info on it. Wow nice job on the skid skimatics....

Thanks for the post. I will keep my eyes peeled for another skid. ty

That's probably because it was the same skid I bought...I bought it last week off snowest. He told me he had a few other people interested in it.

Although I think there was one other switchback skid on snowest if I remember correctly, maybe that one is still around?
