does anyone know if a sxr oil pump with part number 8ch 13100-00-00is the same as used on a srx and viper with a part number of 8dn 13100-00-00
i would think they are the same just model designation or whar ever "dn" or "ch'" means
does anyone in canada have a newer pump, clean and in good shape for sale?

the "ch" is the sx line ('97-'01), and the "dn" is the srx line from '98 to '02. If the part numbers are different, something is different with the pumps, even if it is very minor. A dealer probably wouldn't know the answer either, maybe BTV would know the difference. You should probably just find one from an sx or vmax 700 model, as the vmax has the exact same engine as the sx.

I don't really think that the "ch"or "dn" have any difference, as the dn also starts off the viper number, but i mat be wrong , of course if i can find one from an sx i will buy it but i know there are alot or srx parts available too.
BTV any opinions?

the best way is to call a dealer...try Larry at North Country Yamaha....I went through this before on a crank and the dn and the ch made a difference....
