We are finally getting some summer weather around here now and boy has it hit with a vengeance. It has been sunny and hot for the past 5 days now and according to the long range forecast it's going to stay that way for a few more days yet.Ordinarily I wouldn't complain about the hot weather but I don't own a boat or a bike to enjoy it so I'd like to see it cool back down at least to the point where it's actually bearable and the sweat isn't running off me as I sit on the deck drinking a beer.

I here yah. Two weeks ago I was up in Eagle River WI area camping in 50 degree weather. Ah perfect weekend even with it raining like it did Friday night. Now today here at home it's 85 degrees out, humid, and where setting up for my daughters birthday sweating our butts off. keep the beer cold and you'll be fine. One month hunting starts, two months I'll be in Colorado freezing my butt off at 11,000 feet. then before you know the snow will fly.

My parents stopped by the house earlier and dad was saying that it was about 110* at their place this afternoon.I never thought to check the temp at the peak this afternoon at our house but when I stepped out onto our back patio at around 4:30 it was like having a wet wool blanket thrown over me.The heat was so heavy and unbearable.

don't complain so much.We have had maybe 3 days all summer where it went past 30 C.We are mostly a rain zone this year.Rain all day today again and will be all day tomorrow.Boring is the word.I am going to take a nap now. There is nothing to do,won't ride my motorcycle in the rain and get it all dirty. The only excitement lately was the hailstorm we had last Friday am.
I know what you mean about the heat.We had 2 very hot humid days last week.Humidex was in around 40 C.I was sweating as I worked outside, but couldn't do it without steadily getting into the air conditioned house every so often.
With predictions coming in for next winter season..because of the el nino effect..winters will be mild and warmer then usual. Some places may not even see much snow. There's nothing like waiting till January for some decent snow to come and then put sleds away in March. That's a real long riding season..eh!!!Winters suck to now and that should effect the future of sledding or getting into sledding, especially sales of sleds.
