boring a silencer?

what are the steps to bore out the silencer i have a 99 srx with carbon tech reeds clutch kit 1.25 preditor track. i dont want to mess it up because i can beat alot of bigger sleds and want to keep it that way. also last year i smoked a 2001 mxz 800 from start to finish has anyone got over 120 on there speedo from a 99 srx 600?

you cant bore the sliencer on the srxs only the single piped sx-sxR motors. you can have the mod done but you need to send it out to a performance shop that does this. they cut the can in half and remove or perforate the baffles for more flow. i think fix power sports does this. ski

What exactly do they do to the baffle, do they cut it in half or do they remove the entire thing. Please let me know, I am going to the shop today and I need to knowe how to do it. Can anyone tell me the exact steps. Thanks

On the single piped sx/sxr you use a 2" hole saw with an extension and cut a hole in the baffle deep inside the silencer. You go in thru the exit.

sorry, I forgot to mention that this would have to be done on a srx. Does anybody know how this is done?

The only SRX mod silencer I have seen is one that was cut open and done...you cant do the bore on it.
