I just bought a 96 Phazer with 9800 km.
It is in decent shape, just needs a good cleaning and a bit of TLC.
I am new to Yamaha's I've got a DOO but am thinking of trading it for a Nytro.
Any way I have a few questions about the Phaser.
What should I be looking at doing to my Phaser with 9800 km?
It needs new handwarmers, and the tach cable is broken, also the chaincase is leaking a bit of oil do these have an O ring or gasket.
The motor looks like it is out of line with the secondary, does any one know the proper measurements?
I also checked the compression on it and it is around 100 lbs on each cylinder is this low?
Can some of you Yamaha Guru's help me out

The best thing to do as far as maintenance is to go through the owners manual maintenance chart and do all the recommended servicing. The carbs should be cleaned.
Needs new handwarmers? What is the problem with them? There is a gasket for the chaincase cover. I believe that the pulley alignment specs are on the maintenance decal on the clutch guard.
100 pounds compression is low if your gauge is right.
