I would just run the stock adjustment. On Exciters the oil is pumped in before the fuel pump then mixed by the pump and sent to the carbs. The problem with this is a wait time of oil when you peg the thottle open. If you are cruising at a quarter throttle and then you open it up to full throttle, the engine runs the mixture that is in the carbs and fuel line back to the fuel pump before it gets the right fuel-oil mixture, which could lead to a lean condition, and vise versa, when you let off the throttle from wide open and put around you are running oil rich.
With the direct oil injection, the oil is injected into the carb manifolds and gets mixed with the incoming fuel as soon as the throttle is opened or closed. I had a Bender oil injection kit, cold air kit and pipe on my 93 SX worked awsome for the four years that I had it. Hope this helped.
