My '02 has reed spacers, I am wondering if they are helping in any way. I am thinking of trying without them. What do you guys suggest? thanks

As I understand it the only sled(s) that spacers are beneficial on are the red head 6 and 700's because of something to do with the way the reed port is molded,it doesn't allow the reeds to fully open up if I remember right.I have no idea whether they help on an SRX or not,I can't imagine they do as this isn't one of the mods that guys usually do on SRX's and believe me if they really helped deliver a hp or 2 or better throttle response you would no doubt see more threads on this topic.

Hope this helps.

they are mostly beneficial on the red head 600's and 700's. the spacer helps pull the reed cage out of the intake area, to allow the reed stopper to unblock the boost port. on srx's and viper's the stock reed cage/reed stoppers don't block off that boost port, so IMO no gain to be had w/spacers on a srx or viper.

there is a bout a 1hp gain on the dyno with spacers in the srx.Actually if you do some searching back in the day there where topics on here about it.

ok thanks guys, Mopar and Fourbarrel, this is exactly my opinion on them, now pro116 has totally thrown a wrench into my thoughts! thanks for the info guys.
