I found a set of bender racing pipes on craigslist, I think I can get them for $250. He said that one of the pipes has been repaired. Do think they are worth it?? Also He has a NIB billet head for a Red Head, from Peak Perf, he wants $175. He thought the inserts for them were 19cc.
I've got benders on my wife's sled. She likes them. They aren't too loud, make nice power, and fit really well.
depends on what "repaired" means.
Did you get some pics?

Got benders on mine and I love them.....not sure if the head is worth the extra money.......I do remembre having a hard time finding the 89L weights to go with them, see if he has them...
See you on Saturday....?

I'll be there Sat. He has the weights & jets for a 600. Will those still work on the 700??? He said one of the pipes had cracked and had been rewelded. I haven't seen pics yet.
Weights i'm sure they will, jets you can get new ones at the dealer, they will be diferent and they are not to expensive

Thanks, I just looked at the tech section, I would just need the 2.4g rivets and 150 mains. Now I have to decide whether to spend the money on the pipes or an Enticer for the kids. I'm going on Monday to look at an 1980 250 Enticer for $300.
get the kids going.....
spend money on kids it a once in a life time thing

I'm leaning towards the kids sled, I had a talk with my wife. She wasn't very open to either right now, but when she settled down, she was more open to a kids sled possibly before winter. At least she knows what I'm thinking and can ponder it for a few days. I think she'll come around... She's not interested in riding at all, too bad...
I would look for a Enticer 300 instead of the 250. It should be in the same price range. Easier to work on and keep running.
Those 250's go good. The family still has one. The 300 is easier on gas though and if the motor goes on the 300 you can put a 340 in(mounts are the same)

Thanks for the insight, I'm going to look at a 250 Enticer some time this week. He wants $300 for it, I'll see how clean it is... My nephews have a couple of 300 Enticers, those were good little sleds.

I just called the guy on these pipes!
Since you are buying an enticer for teh kiddies can you tell me if they will bolt on to a 700 SXR?? They must if you were looking at them for the vmax. The pipes are off a 600....
Thanks!

I ran a set of Benders for two years. It is not uncommon for them to crack. I have a friend who makes his living welding up pipes etc. You need to be prepared to spend more money on fuel and not compare your fuel mileage with you buddies!!
