I did a search on this subject and see a few hits but I was wondering if anyone has put a SC III in a '98 SRX? I just purchased a used '98 SRX for my son and I have SCIII suspension that I was thinking of swapping out. Is it worth while? Does it make a big differnce? Is it complicated? I have all the tools and resources to do any thing actually, but I would like some advise. I am a DOO guy actually, and new to Yammis, but any self respecting Sled Head can appreciate this sled.

So please let me know what you think? If you have past posts, or know of them that coveres this subject send them along. I have searched the forums and found lots of good info on how to set up the stock suspension, but if the SC III is worth the while then I would like to go that route.

Also has anyone put a dual headlamp into this sled? Is it hard to doo? Where can I get the stuff necessary to change it over?

Thanks!

I would say that anything relativly modern is gonna be an improvment on the Yammie SRX version "NO-Action" suspension. Now if you already have the Ohlins with long travel like myself than it may be enough, but most guys still gravitate towards swapping the whole skid.

I have a 98 V max which is basicly the same chassis style as the SRX. I have an SC3 in mine and wow what a difference. Measure a bunch of times and drill once, I used the same Yammi steel support plates to put the SC3 onto and everything works very well. I had to drill an extra hole because I got excited and took a short cut but so what. My sled is a sled now with the sc3.
