I offered to clean a couple of carburators for my brother-in-law on his kids' 300 Enticers. The one cleaned up real good, runs good now, but the head of the pilot jet on the second one got messed up. I was using the right size screw driver, but I heard a snap and the slot stripped out, just like that. How do I get that pilot out? I put PB blaster on it for now, will a small easyout work?

I usually push really hard on a TORX bit, and the adges of the bit will bite into the brass and will remove the pilot.

If that dont work i would try the easy out, or the sears type ones. I've had great luck with those on similar type things. It shouldnt be stuck in there too bad.

Problem with the easy out is getting one small enough. I'm sure they make one, but I have always had luck with the Torx.

I picked a couple small torx drivers, a 10 and an 8, not small enough, I guess I should have tried the 6 or 5. Well, I try again tomorrow.
