i just recently picked up a yamaha v-max xt, i belive it's a 600 too. i didn't get any papers on it and was wondering if anyone can tell me a site to go to or some way to get info on it like the year mainly, and if i can file for papers on it. i appreciate any help anyone could give me

There should b a manufacture date stamped on the side of the tunnel, or call any Yamaha dealer with the serial number and they should be able to tell ya...
