has anyone ever used whal no slip drive sprockets? i would like to try them out but i am unsure what size to get. i know the track pitch is 2.52" but what is the drive axle size? i have a 2000 srx 700.

you want the ones for the 1" hex shaft. you should have 9t stock, but confirm before ordering. you will need access to a press. there is a site vendor here that will give you a great deal, but cant remember his name. that would be Bruce at CB Performance.

Hi: I have them on both 99 SXs as well as my 2002 SRX + Vmax 4s.
I put the ones on the SXs+SRX that are for the 1 1/16"- 1 1/8" shaft size.
When I put 9 tooth drivers on the first SX the tips of the extrovert hit the front suspension top X shaft...I had to trim about a 1/4" off each tip to get proper clearance. When I installed them on the other sleds I installed 8 tooth drivers...no clearance issues but obviously had to adjust my gearing for the smaller drivers.

ok so i called wahl and they said i need the 1 1/8- 1 1/16. so do i need that size or the 1"?

The slightly bigger one is the spec for the shaft you have. The 1" ones fit, but are a little tighter press. They work great once they are on, but are easier to screw up due to the slightly tighter fit. I've got the 1" bore ones in two different sleds.

ok so it doesnt matter what size i get. cool! i just wanted to make sure i got the right ones. is there any cons to having them tight like if i use the 1"?

I put them on last year and 9 tooth anti ratchets WILL HIT THE TOP PIVOT OF THE W ARM!! It frightened the crap out of me when I started her up. I didn't trim them yet I ran for about 100 miles and they don't rub any more, but before she hits the snow this winter they will be done. They are great.

anti rachets are a poor substitute for proper track tension. track tension should be adjusted regularly. too loose of a track ( w/ any type of drivers ) will cause balooning @ high speed & under hard braking. in both cases the track/studs will contact the tunnel or bulkhead & scrub off speed & track/tunnel life. if your stock drivers teeth are worn on the contact side you can simply remove the axle, press the drivers off, flip them around & press back on.
