Hello,
Does anyone know is the only fuel filter on this machine on the pickup in the tank? I can't find one externally. Do I just fish it out with a stiff wire?
Oh one other ? I need to replace the rear shock. I am having a difficult time locating one. Dennis Kirk seems to have every year but mine. I thought 87-90 was the same but maybe not.

yep, the only one is in the tank. when you pull the pickup tube out it should come right out. i think it also is only a few bucks from Dennis Kirk.

Yes - it will increase resistance and lessen fuel flow. It will allow for more places to have leaks. Plus the time and cost to do it - and it is totally unnecessary - no need to do it. Keep it simple and avoid more problems. I have removed many added-on fuel filters.
