Vmax sx/Sxr suspension Question

sooo, i have seen a couple of posts on the drop brackets you can put on the pogo style vmax's, and that doesnt give you anymore travel, but it does cut down on bottoming out quite a bit. can you do something like this to the vmax sx or the sxr's? or can you swap the shock out for one from and xtc? im not the best with suspension so thats why i ask. I am getting an vmax sx, or an sxr here after i sell my phazer. I have chosen to buy one of these because they are reliable, and they dont have a powervalve. powervalves are great, but its something extra that can go wrong that can cut down on reliability. and i dont feel like cleaning them.

Go with an sxr as it has more travel then an sx.. 11.5" vers. 9." Should not bottom out on either of them though...
