Anyone here put a bender pipe on an exciter sx? What is a good starting point for jetting? What clutching changes are needed for that pipe?

I bought the sled with the pipe on it. It was blown up, now it is running, but as I went through it, I noticed that it still has stock jetting and clutching.

Thanks for your time.

buddy of mine had a bender pipe on his phazer and he was told that the stock jetting and clutching was ok because there wasn't a large hp gain over stock. The guy said that if the air box was removed then going a main jet larger and moving the needle clip a position richer would be all that's needed. When I put PSI twins on my SX, I went two sizes bigger on the mains and one clip richer on the needle and it always seemed to run good without using a lot of fuel. Not sure on the clutching though. Mine runs ok on the stock settings but feels like there's more there.

I HAVE COMPLETE SET-UP FOR BENDER PIPE ON EXCITER SX. MATTER OF FACT JUST DID MINE. NOW YOU CAN DROP MAIN JET DOWN TO 150 (155 stock ) BUT YOU MUST RUN GOOD FUEL. THAT BENDER PIPE DOSE ADD HP. IF FUEL GRADE IS A ISSUE, RUN COMPLETE STOCK JETTING. NOW I CAN NOT PASS CLUTCH SET-UP YET TO YA BECAUSE I HAVE NOT FIELD TESTED MINE IN SNOW CONDITIONS YET, BUT I CAN SAY IT WILL BE CLOSE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Thanks for the replies... I will leave the stock jetting in and check the plugs. What rpm are these supposed to turn? Also, my rollers in my clutch need to be replaced, what size should I order, 14.5 or 15.0 to shift out harder?

Phazerguy, check out excitersx.com for more info. We are getting that site going and it would be cool to have more SX members there too. Also it looks as thought 7750-8000 is where the SX likes the bender pipe with a stock engine.
