Hi,

I have some suspension issues, the suspension on my Vmax 600 is dead and it sucked to begin with, I am considering an M-10 but they are really expensive and I don't want a new sled. I was told that I could put a newer Pro-Action suspension on my sled, say from a 2003 RX-1. Is this really possible and if so, how hard is it to do this? I have found several late model Pro-Actions for pretty cheap ($100-$200, far less than an M-10) If doing this is possible let me know and how complicated it would actually be.

Thank you!
Chris

Real easy.....

Real easy,

Tuck the new suspension in and pull the suspension back snug.

You will have to relocate the front "W" arm mounting holes.

Make sure you tape a 1"inch thick piece of wood on top of the track between the track and the tunnel. This will make sure that you have plenty of clearance for studding or long paddle tracks.

I would get some dimensions off a 03 RX1 from the center of the drive axel to the center of each mounting bolts and from the inside of the tunnel to the center of each mouning bolt, that way you have the correct location from the drive ....thats very importaint

i have a skid from a 97 xtc for 350, this would have the same wheels as yours does now and would bolt in. i can send with it the spacers you will need to mount it in your wider tunnel and a template to mark the holes. also will throw in the reinforcements for the back side of the tunnel to rivot in. will ship for 25$

email me if you would like this skid at myparts@gwi.net

thanks
scott
