I have a Bender can on my 98 SRX 700 and it was melting the exhaust side of the pistons and I want to make sure who set it up before me has the right jetting. what should it be ? Thanks

When was the last time the carbs were cleaned?
The specs read 330-1600 ft @ 0-20*F cyl #1&2 146.3 and cyl#3 148.8.
42.5 pilot, jet needle #3 position and 1 1/8 turns on the fuel screw.
330-1600 Ft 20-40*F cyl #1&2 145, cyl #3 147.5 pilot 40, the rest of the settings are the same.
Specs are out of the 98-99 manual. T

I'm not sure when the cabs were done I just got the sled and I'm rebuilding it but I thank you for the info. I should have mentioned it has V-force 3 reeds would that change any of the #'s you gave? Sorry for not giving all the info and thanks

bender claims no jetting changes for their can, but watch egt's and plug color/ piston wash. dont know about v-force.

No jetting changes as far as I know for the v-force. Those jet numbers that i gave you are a tad on the rich side. When I had my srx I jetted down 1 jet all across the board (ex 146.3 to 145)as I had problems with plug fouling. As stated above watch the plug color, you want a cardboard to cocoa color brown on the porcelain insulator, darker is fine just as long as it isn't lighter. as you know its easier and cheaper to replace plugs than pistons.
