Anyone know if there is any benefit to reed spacers on an srx!

there was a post on this not too long ago, the general consensus seemed to be no real gain on a stock engine, if i remember correctly
From my racing/tuning experience, the 600/700SX/SXR engine responds very well to the reed spacers as the stock reed cage actually blocks the transfer flow due to the cylinder/port placement...I would suggest it is actually MANDITORY to have reed spacers on a "Red Head" SX/SXR engine.
The SRX engine does not suffer from the reed cage interferance problem of the SX/SXR engine, so on a 600/700 SRX I believe it is not necessary. The only advantage of reed spacers on a SRX engine would be to increase crankcase volume only "potentially" benificial on a "Big Bore".
