If you register on the TY 4stroke side you'll get more help. I do recall a thread in the RX section that recommended using Seafoam or Yamaha Ringfree to help cure this condition. It's a common thing with the 03 and some 04. Yamaha updated rings to stop this from happening. Remove the plugs and pour a small amount of Seafoam or ringfree in each cylinder. Allow it to sit overnight. Crank the engine over after it has soaked, keeping a rag or towel over the plug openings. Then, once that is completed, add the recommende amount to your oil. Run the engine for 10-15 minutes. Drain your oil out and it will probably be black as coal. Just a question for you. Are you running 87 octane or a higher grade of fuel? You MUST run 87 or you WILL get carbon deposits in these engines. Premium burns too cool and actually LOSES power. Hope this helped. And again, LOTS more info at TY4stroke.com
